What data the app processes

In short: Wilmoor Home has no account and no server of ours. We receive no data from the app.

iCloud sync. iCloud sync is on for new installs; you can switch it off in the app’s settings. With sync, the data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which only your Apple Account can read; we have no access to it. Apple’s standard iCloud protection applies; the app does not add its own end-to-end encryption. Without iCloud sync or without an iCloud account, all data stays on the device.

Weather (Open-Meteo). For weather-adjusted consumption, the app requests temperatures from Open-Meteo. Only a grid point at 0.1° resolution (about 11 km) and a date range are sent. The location search sends the place name you type.

Price index (Eurostat). Only while a fuel storage uses the forecast price “adjusted to market development”, the app fetches a fixed query of the harmonised index of consumer prices for Germany, at most once a week. Camera. Photos of the fuel storage or woodpile serve as a record for the stock-take. They are stored downscaled and stay on your devices and, if iCloud sync is on, in your private iCloud. Photos of the meter display are read on the device only and not stored.

Reminders. The app schedules reading reminders as notifications on the device.

Backup and report. A backup and a PDF report leave the device only when you save them yourself or pass them on via the share sheet. The backup is not encrypted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
